CCC softball team swept in Oklahoma

OKLAHOMA CITY — Central Christian College’s softball team saw its slump continue on Thursday as it was swept by Mid-America Christian.

The Lady Tigers opened their season with a win, but since have lost nine straight.

CCC dropped the opener, 15-1. Mariah Grijalva drove in Lyssa Ritchhart with the only Central run. 

The Lady Tigers trailed Game 2 11-0 when they exploded for nine runs in the fifth inning. But it wasn’t enough as Mid-America prevailed, 12-9.

Kasi Kraus, Page Huffman and Cristina Insua all drove in two runs for the Lady Tigers. Morgan Hildebrandt collected two hits.

Central hosts Dordt College at 2:00 today at the CCC softball field.
