Clarke University showed Central Christian College’s baseball team little mercy here Friday.

Clarke pounded out a pair of easy wins over the Tigers, who are now 11-10 after an 11-3 start.

Central was held to two hits in losing the opener, 7-0. Kelby Landon and Kenny Cordova had the hits. Andrew Hightower pitched three scoreless innings to start the game, but ran into trouble in the fourth and fifth by allowing three runs in both innings.

Clarke brought out the heavy artillery in Game 2, scoring 10 runs in the first two innings to key a 16-2 rout.

Stephen Boedeker had two hits for Central. Bryan Scott took the loss.
