Two Hutchinson teenagers are in police custody, facing conspiracy to commit capital murder charges after a threat at Hutchinson High School was reported Tuesday.

According to a press release from the Hutchinson Police Department, Carson Cabral, 15, and Ayrton “Alex” Marroquin, 14, allegedly made plans to set off pipe bombs at strategic locations to harm certain teachers and staff at HHS. Police recovered plans for making the bombs, as well as sketches of where the teachers and staff would be so they could be targeted.

Search warrants at two homes also uncovered items that could be used to build explosive devices.

KWCH is reporting that Cabral is the brother of Tyler Cabral, who is one of the five teens charged last year with another school threat case in Hutchinson.

The threat to HHS was reported by students to administration Tuesday morning.
