Lady Tigers lose pair of 12-2 decisions

Central Christian College’s softball team dropped a pair of 12-2 decisions on Day 1 of the McPherson College Invitational at Wall Park.

York College was the first opponent as it scored nine runs over the final three innings to pull away.

Central had eight hits, two each by Kristen Hall, Lyssa Ritchhart and Cristina Insua.

The Lady Tigers then lost to Friends, which scored its 12 runs in just two innings with seven in the second and five in the third. Kasi Kraus had two hits for Central.

Play continues today. Central is now 3-15 on the season.
