Central Christian College’s softball team came up empty in three games on Saturday in the McPherson College Invitational at Wall Park.

A recap:

• Bethel 3, Central 2 — The Threshers managed only four hits, but won it in walk-off fashion in the seventh inning. Sydney Nelson and Mandy Jacques had two hits apiece for CCC. Kasi Kraus deserved better on the mound, but was still hit with the loss.

• Kansas Wesleyan 14, Central 9 — The Lady Tigers were down 13-1 after three innings, but fought back with a seven-run fourth inning to make things interesting. Kraus and Cristina Insua collected two hits apiece, while Nelson, Cheyenne Bouis and Constance Baker added two RBIs each.

• Central Methodist 8, Central 0 — CCC ran into some stout pitching from the nationally ranked Eagles, managing just two hits. One was by Nelson and the other by Lyssa Ritchhart.

Central, now 3-18, takes on McPherson College at 5 p.m. Wednesday at Wall Park. CCC won the first two meetings this year with the Bulldogs.
