For the first time in school history, Central Christian College’s men’s basketball team is going to the NCCAA National Tournament.

The Tigers late Saturday learned that they have received an at-large bid for the tournament, scheduled to begin Wednesday in Winona, Ind.

The Tigers are the eighth-and-final seed, which means they are matched against No. 1-seed Emmanuel College on Wednesday. Game time is 8:15 p.m.

The tournament is played out to the end, which means the Tigers are guaranteed to play three games. They come in 19-13.

More about the tournament will be posted later.
