TOPEKA — Bethany College’s men’s golf team opened its spring season by taking third place in the two-day, 14-team Washburn Invitational that was completed Tuesday.
Nathan Limbacher led the Swedes with rounds of 75-72-75, good for 15th place.
Other Swedes scores were Scott Farrall (76-75-78), Jordan Giustana (81-70-80), Juan Pablo Sin (77-73-84) and Josh Meeks (80-75-79).
Guistana’s second-round 70 was the second-lowest round of the tournament.
Tourney host Washburn won the team title with an 873, while Lindenwood (886) and Bethany (912) were right behind. Lindenwood’s Yente Van Doren was medalist after rounds of 71-73-71-215.
