McPherson College swept the KCAC Men’s Outdoor Track and Field awards this week.

The announcement was made Tuesday that Hunter Sury was the Track Athlete of the Week, while Chris Linnin added to his mounting list of accomplishments by being named Field Athlete of the Week.

Sury had a pair of Top-8 finishes in the two shorts sprints in the Southwestern Invitational. He ran 10.92 in the 100 to lead all KCAC runners. He again was the best of the KCAC finishers in the 200 with a time of 22.59.

Linnin, who earned All-American honors during the indoor season, got off to a spectacular start to his outdoor season by going 6-9 in the high jump. He is the No. 1 jumper in the country for the early season.
