Dordt College swept Saturday’s baseball twinbill with Central Christian College to take three-of-four in the series.

Central wasted another good pitching performance in the first game as Bryan Scott allowed only one run through six innings before permitting two in the seventh. Central, however, could never score in the 3-0 loss.

Only one run Scott allowed was earned and he didn’t permit a walk. Central’s Graham Greenbeck had two hits, one a double.

The Tigers appeared to be on their way to a split, leading 2-0 in Game 2 after three innings. But Dordt scored three times in the fourth and added a run in the final inning for a 4-2 victory.

Reggie Thomas took the loss, going four innings. Keaton Snyder pitched one-run ball over the final three innings. Nate Patterson had two hits for the Tigers.

Central, now 14-18, plays Tuesday at Bethany in a single game. First pitch is 3 p.m.
