OKLAHOMA CITY — McPherson College wasted not one, but two outstanding pitching performances on Tuesday.

The Bulldogs lost a pair of games to Southwestern Christian University despite the fact their pitchers gave up three runs on the day.

The Eagles won the first game 2-1 in walk-off fashion in the seventh inning. Blake Ware pitched a tremendous game in defeat, giving up only five hits.

Mac’s only run came in the sixth inning an RBI by Dylan Klava that scored Trent Smith.

In Game 2, Southwestern Christian scored a run in the fourth and it proved to be the lone tally of the game in a 1-0 Eagle victory. Four Bulldogs had one hit each. Cameron Oram took the loss despite throwing 4 1/3 innings of one-run baseball.

The Bulldogs have now lost four in a row to drop to 14-17 on the season. They return to KCAC play on Friday at Oklahoma Wesleyan, which was ranked No. 19 in the country before losing three of four games last weekend to Bethany.
