Lady Tigers swept by Flames

OMAHA, Neb. — Former MCAC rival College of Saint Mary outlasted Central Christian College’s softball team 4-3 in Game 1 on Tuesday by winning in walk-off fashion.

Central had scored two runs in the top of the seventh inning to tie the game. Lyssa Ritchhart had two hits for CCC. Kasi Kraus pitched well in defeat.

The Flames then rolled to a 9-3 second-game victory. Kraus had two hits to lead the Lady Tigers, who let a 3-0 lead get away.

Central is now 6-21 on the season. The team is taking some time off for the Easter break and doesn’t play again until March 31 when it hosts Tabor.
