LINDSBORG — Central Christian College’s baseball team pushed Bethany College to the limit in a single, nine-inning intracounty game on Tuesday.

The Swedes were rollicking early, up 8-2, but the gritty Tigers scored five runs in the fifth and another in the sixth to tie the game. Bethany then pushed across a run in the sixth and made it stand up over the final three innings.

Zane Howard had three hits and two RBIs for Central. Kenny Cordova and Graham Greenbeck had two RBIs as well. Shomari Cann added two hits.

Randy Ventura led Bethany with three hits.
