Former MCAC rivals College of the Ozarks and Central Christian College hooked up here Friday for a baseball twinbill, with the Bobcats successful in both games.

Ozarks won the first game, 6-1. Nate Patterson had two of the Tigers’ five hits, with Zane Howard driving in Patterson with CCC’s only run. Andrew Hightower gave up five runs in the first inning, but settled down after that to pitch tremendous. Only one of the six runs he allowed was earned.

Central found itself down 10-1 after 2 1/2 innings in Game 2, but did battle back to make it competitive by the end, 14-7.

Howard hit a two-run homer for the Tigers’ big hit. Nine Central players had one hit each. Kenith Smith took the loss.
