Bulldog netters stun Emporia State

The McPherson College men’s tennis team gave the KCAC an image boost here on Saturday by knocking off NCAA Division II member Emporia State 6-3 at the Doris Coppock Courts.

Emporia State led 2-1 after the three doubles matches, but the Bulldogs roared back by dominating the singles, led by top two players Joan-Marc Fajula Rodriguez and Ahmed Lahlou. Hector Carrillo Perales. Hugo Ball-Greene and Timo Hoelzmann also delivered singles victories as the Bulldogs improved to 4-5 on the year, the losses coming to much bigger schools.

Mac heads out on Thursday to play Baker.
