Bulldogs split weekend road series

BARTLESVILLE, Okla. — McPherson College’s baseball team stunned nationally ranked Oklahoma Wesleyan twice on Friday before the Eagles rebounded for a Saturday sweep and split of the four-game weekend series.

Mac won 7-4 in Game 1 on Friday behind a homer by Evan Willow. Kyle McDonald, Matt Bryan and Trevor Haycock all added two hits. Blake Ware was the winner.

The Bulldogs completed Friday’s sweep with a 5-3 win, with Bryan hitting a homer and double. Colter Strecker was the winner.

It was all Eagles on Saturday, though, as they rolled to 10-2 and 16-6 routs. 

The Bulldogs are now 6-10 in KCAC action and 16-19 overall. They host Friends for four games this weekend, two on Friday and two more on Saturday.
