MHS baseball team ranked No. 1

The McPherson High baseball team now has a bullseye on its back.

According to the first rankings released today by the Kansas Coaches Association, the Bullpups check in at No. 1 in Class 4A Division I.

McPherson is 4-0 on the season, but has an acid test today as it plays at Rose Hill, which is the No. 4 team in the poll.

Defending 4A D-I champion Topeka Hayden has dropped to 4A Division II this season.

7. Ottawa 

8. Andale/Garden Plain

Also in the poll, area teams Little River and Inman are ranked in Class 2-1A as they are Nos. 5 and 7, respectively. The teams met on Tuesday and split a doubleheader.
