Munsey takes No. 1 singles at Conway Springs

CONWAY SPRINGS — McPherson High took its JV tennis team to Conway Springs for a varsity quad on Thursday.

The Bullpups’ Patrick Munsey came away with the No. 1 singles championship, going 3-0 on the day. Price Kramer was 2-1 for second at No. 2.

Trey Hett and Thomas Smith were 2-1 for second at No. 2 doubles, with Lorenzo Cornelius and Jace Kinnamon going 1-2 at No. 1 doubles for third.

Aaron Carlson and Isaac Duren also played doubles as Hillsboro didn’t have a No. 2 team. They went 0-3.

Conway Springs scored 23 points to outlast MHS, which scored 20. Trinity Academy (17) was third and Hillsboro did not score and took fourth.
