Tabor College’s softball team came to town on Thursday to sweep Central Christian College.
The Lady Tigers put a scare into the Bluejays in Game 1. Tabor led 8-0 going into the final inning, but Central staged a remarkable comeback with six runs before the rally finally ran out of steam.
Kasi Kraus, Mandy Jacques and Cristina Insua all had two hits, with Lyssa Ritchhart driving in two runs.
Tabor scored at least two runs in every inning of Game 2, including seven in the fifth, for an 18-6 victory.
Insua had three RBIs on two hits to lead CCC. Kraus, Sydney Nelson and Constance Baker all added two hits.
The Lady Tigers are now 6-23 and play a pair of games on Saturday at Southwestern Christian University.
