HILLSBORO – Have yourself a day, Katie Bellah.
Bellah had a nine-RBI day on Friday to lead Smoky Valley’s softball team to a season-opening sweep of Hillsboro, 11-0 and 16-5.
Bellah’s six-RBI game made it easy for Viking pitcher Megan Sample in Game 1, as she threw a three-hitter.
Bellah had a pair of triples in that game.
She had three more RBIs in Game 2, as the Vikings broke it open early. Kelsie Anderson had a big two-run triple to ignite the offense. Jacque Hulse contributed two doubles to the offense and Sample again picked up the win.
