Valdez, Bollinger have good days for Hesston

ANDALE — It was a good day for the Hesston track and field team, which opened its season on Friday by competing in the Andale Relays.

Taylor Valdez doubled for the Swather girls by winning the 100 and 200. She also was part of a runner-up 4 x 100 relay team. Hesston did its damage on the track, including placing in all three relays.

For the boys, Austin Bollinger won the 800 and anchored the winning 4 x 800 team that included Jon Weber, Luccas Schmucker and Zach Esau.
