McPherson College’s baseball team can’t seem to follow up on its sweeps.

After taking a pair of games from Friends here Friday — the second straight Friday they had posted a sweep —  the Bulldogs couldn’t complete the series sweep on Saturday, or even take a game as the teams finished the weekend 2-2.

The Falcons scored six runs in the eighth inning of Game 1 to key an 8-4 victory. The Bulldogs had led 4-2 before the big Friends uprising.

Matt Bryan and Dylan Klava had three hits apiece for the Bulldogs, with two of Klava’s being doubles.

The Bulldogs simply went flat in Game 2, giving up 10 runs in the first two innings of a 13-3 loss. Bryan drove in two of the Bulldog runs.

Mac is now 8-12 in the KCAC and 18-21 overall. Next KCAC action is Friday and Saturday with a four-game set against Kansas Wesleyan in Salina.
