Lady Tigers split softball games

BETHANY, Okla. — Central Christian College’s softball team came away with a split on Saturday against Southwestern Christian.

The Lady Tigers couldn’t get much going in Game 1, losing 4-1. Mariah Grijalva had two hits to lead CCC. Kasi Kraus, who drove in the only Lady Tiger run, pitched well in defeat.

Game 2 went the Lady Tigers’ way, 4-2. Mandy Jacques was the winner in relief, allowing no earned runs over the final 3 1/3 innings.

Jacques also came up big at the plate, going 2 for 4 with two RBIs. 

Central is now 7-26 on the season. The two teams turn around and play a doubleheader on Saturday in McPherson.
