SALINA — Anthony Monson, who has been the chief recruiter for Tabor College’s outstanding men’s basketball teams, has left his assistant coach position to take the head job at Kansas Wesleyan.
He replaces Chris Fear, who resigned after five seasons that never produced a winning record.
The 33-year-old Monson has spent the past 11 years at Tabor. This will be his first head coaching job and he’s taking over a Coyote program that has plunged to its lowest depths, missing the playoffs each of the last six years.
Tabor was 20-0 in the KCAC this past season and 30-4 overall under head coach Micah Ratzlaff.
