DERBY — The McPherson High JV tennis team traveled to Derby on Tuesday, placing fifth in the eight-team field.
The Bullpups scored 12 points. Derby dominated, with its Green team scoring 24 points, the same as its Black squad. Also ahead of MHS were Conway Springs (20) and Goddard Eisenhower (18).
Aaron Carlson was the star of the day for the Bullpups, going 4-0 at No. 2 singles to take first place. Thomas Smith was 2-2 for fourth at No. 1 singles.
In doubles, both MHS entries were 0-4 for eighth. Alex Milleson-Isaac Duren played No. 1, with Zach Anderson-Tyler Burns playing No. 2.
