KCAC baseball power Sterling College dealt Central Christian College a pair of losses here Tuesday.

The Warriors were a 16-11 winner in Game 1 as the wind was blowing out. The Warriors tattooed CCC pitching for 18 hits.

The Tigers had 11 of their own with four players coming up with two each — Nate Patterson, Zane Howard, Laramie Lumley and Kenny Cordova. One of Howard’s hits was a homer, while Sterling hit four bombs.

It was a tough loss for the Tigers as they had constructed an 11-4 lead after three innings. But Sterling had back-to-back five-run innings to secure the victory.

The Warriors doubled the Tigers 10-5 in Game 2, scoring five of their runs in the first three innings.

Graham Greenbeck and Tanner Black had two hits to lead the Tigers. The Warriors hit four more homers in this game.

Central is now 17-27 on the season. It heads to Oklahoma City on Friday for a three-game weekend series with Mid-America Christian University.
