HUTCHINSON — Ten was the magic number for Trinity Catholic on Tuesday as the Celtics twice scored 10 runs to deal Moundridge a pair of softball losses.
In Game 1, the Wildcats managed only two hits in a 10-0 loss, one apiece by Jasmine Wells and Keira Sebrant.
In Game 2, the Wildcats jumped out to a 2-0 lead, but it was all Trinity from there, including five first-inning runs, as the Celtics were a 10-4 winner.
The loss spoiled a terrific game by Jadah Moore, who was 3 for 4 to lead the Wildcats. Zaelynn Foth chipped in with two hits. All eight MHS hits were singles.
Moundridge, now 0-4, hosts Canton-Galva on Friday.
