SALINA — McPherson College’s baseball team had a day it would just as soon forget.

The Bulldogs were overwhelmed twice in a doubleheader on Saturday by Kansas Wesleyan, 24-6 and 19-0.

The losses dropped the Bulldogs to 8-14 in the KCAC and 18-23 overall with two more games today with the Coyotes. What made the doubleheader hard to take is that Kansas Wesleyan had entered the day behind the Bulldogs in the standings.

Reily Martin and Jackson Goodmiller had three hits apiece in Game 1 and Matt Bryan drove in three runs. Kansas Wesleyan had an amazing 31 hits in the contest.

The nightmare continued in Game 2 as the Bulldogs had only two hits, one by Dylan Klava and the other by Lane Fleming.
