Inman boy thinclads place 2nd

STERLING — Inman’s boys track and field team finished just behind Central Christian during the Sterling Invitational on Tuesday.

The Teutons scored 98 points to be just outlasted by Central Christian, which tallied 102. The Inman girls were fourth with 24.

The Inman boys received huge days from Nathan Enns and Caleb Renner. Enns won the javelin and discus, chipping in with a third in the shot. Renner won the 800 and 3,200, with a second in the 1,600. Jordan Friesen added a first in the 110 hurdles.

The Teuton girls’ 4 x 400 relay was second for their top finish. Runners were Taryn Glenn, Maria Urwiller, Dacia Helms and Makayla Michael. The top individual finish was a third from Jayln Froese in the shot.
