ELLIS — Canton-Galva’s baseball team dropped a pair of games on the road Friday to offensively charged Ellis.

The Railroaders scored 13 runs in the first two innings of Game 1 to key a 16-1 rout. The Eagles’ tally came on a wild pitch as Travis Unruh scored.

Ellis completed the sweep with a 13-3 triumph. A six-run fourth inning boosted the Ellis lead from 3-2 to 9-2.

Ethan Loyd and Zach Snow had two hits apiece. One of Loyd’s hits was a double and he also scored two runs. Marshall Reedy also had a double and drove in two runs.

The Eagles, now 1-5, host Sedgwick on Tuesday, weather permitting.
