Over 240 volunteers helped out with 26 houses for Saturday's 12th Annual “Brush-Up Mac” event, according to Public Lands and Facilities City Commissioner Bob Moore.

“We had a nice turnout,” said Moore. “I'd like to thank the people that did work and the companies that allowed their employees to do it. We appreciate it here in the city.”

Brush-Up Mac is a Volunteer service project of the McPherson Housing Coalition, which rehabilitates homes in McPherson utilizing volunteer teams for the community.

The goal is to assist homeowners, particularly elderly, disabled and low-income families, who need a little assistance with yard clean up and minor home repairs.
