BC's Bryant has huge lead at KCAC golf tourney

GARDEN CITY — Bethany College’s Aspen Bryant all but wrapped up the KCAC women’s individual golf championship on the first day.

Bryant carved out a 1-under-par 71 on Monday at Buffalo Dunes to construct a 12-shot lead heading to today’s round.

Alyssa Cardwell of Oklahoma Wesleyan and Kiah Rash of Kansas Wesleyan are a distant second with 83s.

Bethany’s Arianna Bryant shot a 92 and is tied for 12th. Other Swede scores were Lexi Pauls (95) and Rachel Meyer (99),

Ottawa leads Bethany by three shots, 354-357. Other scores are Kansas Wesleyan (365), Oklahoma Wesleyan (367) and Sterling (376).
