BUHLER — Canton-Galva’s track and field teams brought home several medals on Tuesday from a CTKL Meet hosted by Central Christian.

Whitney Nightingale took first in the 300 hurdles and was second in the 3,200.

Maddie Snow won the 400, finishing just ahead of teammate Katie Fiedler. They both medaled in two other events, as Snow was third in the 100 hurdles and 100, while Fiedler was second in the 100 and third in the long jump

For the Eagle boys, Lane Wiens placed in three events, including a second in the 1,600. Dylan Wood was a double placer, taking second in the 400 and fourth in the triple jump.

“I am happy with the improvements that all of the C-G athletes continue to make, but especially in the middle distance and distance races,” C-G coach Tina McMannis said. “In addition to Snow, Fiedler, Wood, and Wiens' performances today, sophomore Dawson Minson and freshman Whitney Nightingale also took time off of personal records to place in the 1,600 and 3,200 races, respectively.”
