Grant Complex is the place to be today as three McPherson High events are tentatively scheduled, though one is questionable.

The Bullpup girls soccer team, 7-2 on the season, hosts Augusta at 4 p.m. MHS will be seeking to rebound from Tuesday’s heart-breaking 2-1 loss to once-beaten Derby.

The MHS baseball team, 9-3 and ranked No. 2 in Class 4A Division I, plays host to El Dorado in a key AVCTL Division III matchup, with first pitch at 4 p.m.

The two schools’ softball teams are scheduled to play as well, but a decision won’t be made until 1 p.m. as rain has dampened the fields considerably. Workers already have deemed the JV field unplayable and those games are postponed. An attempt is being made to get the varsity fields ready in time for the 4 p.m. opener.

MHS is 5-7 on the season.

Also today, the undefeated and No. 1-ranked MHS boys tennis team faces its toughest challenge of the season as it goes to Maize, a field that also includes Garden City, Goddard, Hutchinson, Maize South, Wichita Collegiate and Bishop Carroll.

JV track and field is at Lindsborg and JV golf is at Derby.
