COUNCIL GROVE — They’re called “chunk” points.

Moundridge’s girls had a whole bunch of them Thursday in the Council Grove Invitational Track and Field Meet.

The Wildcats scored 93 1/2 points for first place, which included seven first-place finishes that accounted for much of their scoring.

Jamya O’Quinn had a huge day. She won the 100 and 200 and anchored two winning relay teams. Peri Lange doubled in the hurdle events and also ran on the winning relay teams. Rylie Dick won the high jump.

The MHS boys wee third with 63 1/2 points, trailing Council Grove (139 1/2) and Osage City (100).

Jumping expert Joel Holloway again won his specialty events, the long and triple jumps.
