McPherson College’s softball team held Senior Day on Saturday at Wall Park and the Bulldogs came away with a split.

The day started great for Mac with an 11-1 first-game victory in one of its best performances of the season.

The Bulldogs unloaded for eight runs in the first inning and pitcher Sydney Lang had it easy from there as she gave up only four hits.

Azaria Romero, Cassandra Moreno and Kayla Bourgeois all drove in two runs. Bourgeois and Lang had two hits.

Tabor spoiled a potential Mac sweep with a 9-5 success in the second game, with a four-run fifth inning the difference. The Bulldogs actually outhit the Bluejays, 12-10.

Katie Holmes was 3 for 4 to pace the Bulldogs, while Romero, Emily Davis and Alex Yeoman all had two hits.

Mac is 4-16 in the KCAC and 9-37 overall. It will host KCAC powerhouse Friends on Tuesday, then finish the season Saturday at Haskell.
