HILLSBORO — It wasn’t that long ago that McPherson College’s baseball team was just a game under .500 at 18-19.
But it’s been a fade to the finish line as Mac lost four more games over the weekend and its losing streak is now at eight, not to mention losing 13 of its last 14.
The sweep by Tabor left the Bulldogs at 19-32 on the season.
Only one of the games was close as the 11th-ranked Bluejays have been the KCAC’s gold standard the past few years, though they are in a battle for the title this season.
On Friday, it was 13-2 and 10-3 triumphs for the Bluejays, followed by a 22-12 first-game win on Saturday. The Bulldogs put up a better fight in Game 2, losing only 8-4.
Mac will complete the season this weekend with a four-game home series with Bethany College, with two games on Friday and two more on Saturday.
