LINDSBORG — Bethany College’s Anton Schrader, for the second time this season, was named KCAC Pitcher of the Week today.
After York College had scored 24 runs in Game 1 of a doubleheader on Sunday, Schrader took the mound for the Swedes in Game 2. He pitched six innings, allowed just four hits and two runs, only one run was earned. He struck out nine batters as he limited the nation's top scoring offense, which is averaging nearly 10 runs a game, to just three for the game as the Swedes eventually came away with an 11-3 triumph.
"TJ had a great outing against a very prolific offense. He competed well and it was good to see him bounce back this week," Bethany coach Andrew Bartman said.
