GARDEN CITY — KCAC newcomer Oklahoma Wesleyan made an immediate impact in men’s golf.
The Eagles ran away with the KCAC title on Tuesday when the two-day conference tournament was completed at Buffalo Dunes.
Wesleyan shot a tremendous 872, while Southwestern was second with 887 and longtime kingpin Bethany was third with 906.
Southwestern’s Brian Peck was medalist with a 216, winning a playoff against Oklahoma Wesleyan’s Austen Fuller. Peck had rounds of 72-69-75 and Fuller shot 72-74-70.
Bethany was led by Olly Rubenstein, who shot 221 (75-74-72) for fifth. Nathan Limbacher was 10th with 225 (75-78-72).
Other Swede totals were Scott Farrall (13th, 229, 81-77-71), Josh Meeks (17th, 232, 86-80-76) and Josef Loughlin (29th, 240, 82-83-85).
