McPherson College men’s basketball coach Tim Swartzendruber has added two talented in-state players to his 2016-17 roster.

Jordan Windholz of Hays, who most recently played at Barton County, and Grant Munsen of Manhattan High School inked pacts with the Bulldogs.

The 6-0 Windholz played for Rick Keltner at Hays before playing the last two years for Craig Fletchall at Barton County.

“Jordan was one of the top guards in Kansas when he finished at Hays High School," Swartzendruber said. "He has been a contributor in a highly successful program at Barton County. I know his high school coach Rick Keltner and his junior college coach Craig Fletchall, they are both outstanding coaches and speak highly of Jordan. We feel he can have an immediate impact on our team both offensively and defensively. "

Munsen is a 6-3 forward who was coached at Manhattan by Benji George. Twice Manhattan won its league title.

“Grant comes from a great program at Manhattan High School," Swartzendruber said. "He has shown he can play at a high level in high school. We believe his best years are ahead of him. We love his length and athletic ability. He is tough both physically and mentally and puts the team first. We are certainly thrilled he chose to continue his education at McPherson."
