The McPherson College women’s tennis domination reflected in the All-KCAC voting announced on Wednesday.
Mac’s Justin Stuckey was named Coach of the Year after the Bulldogs rolled to an 8-0 conference record and will be the No. 1 seed in this weekend’s tournament at Wichita. The Bulldogs now have won the KCAC regular-season title three years in a row.
Mac’s Lea Striegel was named Freshman of the Year and also was named to the first team along with teammates Nikki Vorhees and Zoe Bouwmeester. The Bulldogs’ Nikki Thornburg was picked to the second team.
Tabor’s Jessica Emoto was named Player of the Year and also was selected Scholar of the Year. Ottawa’s Allison Cornfield was the Newcomer of the Year and Tabor’s Heidi Klaassen was the Sportsmanship Award winner.
Mac is playing Kansas Wesleyan at 9 a.m. Friday in the conference tournament semifinals.
