C-G's Fiedler breaks school record

HILLSBORO — Canton-Galva’s duo of Katie Fiedler and Maddie Snow continued their outstanding seasons for the Eagles’ track and field team on Monday in the Hillsboro Invitational.

Fielder broke the C-G school record in the 100 meters when she ran 12.55 in the prelims. She wound up taking second in the finals in 12.81. She won the 200 in 27.5 after a blazing 27.17 in the prelims.

Snow medaled in three events as she was third in the triple jump, 200 and 400.

Dylan Wood medaled for the Eagle boys by taking second in the 400.

There’s no rest for C-G as it goes to Moundridge today.

Long jump — 4. Fiedler, 16-5 1/2.

Triple jump — 3. Snow, 32-2 1/2.

100 — 2. Fiedler, 12.9. 5. Snow, 13.1.

200 — 1. Fiedler, 27.5. 3. Snow, 27.7.

400 — 3. Snow, 1:04.3. 4. Fiedler, 1:05.4.
