MOUNDRIDGE — It was a tough offensive day for the Moundridge baseball team on Tuesday against Marion.

The Wildcats could scrape together only one run in two games as the Warriors’ pitching was stellar.

Marion won the first game 4-0, but the Warriors managed only one hit off the Wildcats’ Chris Leddy and Caleb Frye. Eight walks helped the Marion cause and the Warriors had four separate innings of one run.

Moundridge had four different players with one hit each, including doubles by Anthony Otte and Kyle Stucky.

Game 2 was all Marion 12-1, keyed by two four-run innings and another of three runs. MHS scored its only run of the day in the sixth. The Wildcats were held to two hits, including an RBI single by Trenton Olson.

Stucky took the loss.

Moundridge, now 5-7, hosts Remington on Friday.
