MOUNDRIDGE — The Moundridge softball team went down to defeat twice on Tuesday in games against Marion.
The Warriors were on fire in Game 1 for a 22-6 victory. Chelsey Knight, Zaelynn Foth and Jadah Moore all had two hits for MHS, with Knight and Bethany Stucky driving in two runs. Moore had a triple and Stucky a double.
The second game was much tighter, with the Warriors pulling away late for an 8-5 victory.
The Wildcats were limited to three hits, one each by Knight, Stucky and Taylon Potts.
“This was a good ball club that we played tonight,” MHS coach Aaron Annis said. “They made all the plays throughout the night. We hit the ball hard in both games, but it seemed to find a glove for their defense. We showed a lot of heart in the second game after being down by a few runs early.
