Softball Swathers lose two

HESSTON — Larned dealt Hesston’s softball team a pair of losses in make-up games played on Tuesday.

Larned won the opener 21-2, despite two hits by Hesston’s Lauren Clark. Larned came up with innings of seven and eight runs to key the win.

Hesston showed a lot more offense in Game 2, but still fell 22-9 as Larned’s big inning was the fourth when it scored eight runs.

The Swathers had some nice performances in defeat as Kinsley Miller had two hits and drove in three runs, while Kennedy Teach was 3 for 4. Lauren Clark had two hits and two RBIs and Rylie Schiling added two hits.
