It’s one busy day for McPherson High athletics.

The only team to be at home, however, is the girls soccer team, which is hosting Buhler at 4:00 at Grant Complex in a varsity-only game.

The Crusaders do not have enough healthy players to compete in the JV game.

Winfield is the place to be as three Bullpup teams make the 100-mile trip south.

The Bullpup baseball team will try to wrap up the AVCTL D-III championship in the 4 p.m. doubleheader against the Vikings. MHS is 14-4 on the season and it’s the season finale. The Bullpups are 6-2 in league play, the losses coming in splits against Buhler and Rose Hill. It has swept Augusta and El Dorado.

The MHS softball team wraps up regular season play at 4:30 at Winfield as it tries to get back on track after being swept by Andale-Garden Plain on Monday. The Bullpups are 7-11 overall, but 5-3 in league play. Two of the league losses were to Rose Hill, the other coming to Augusta as the teams split. They swept Buhler and El Dorado.

The Bullpup golf team makes its final tune-up before the league meet when it plays today at Winfield Country Club.
