JV baseball Bullpups lose pair

TOPEKA — McPherson High’s JV baseball team journeyed to Topeka on Saturday and lost a pair of add-on games to Seaman.

The Bullpups were shackled on two hits in dropping a 10-2 decision in Game 1. Gunnar Reiss and Gabe Hoover had hits, while Zane Myers and Tyler Scott drove in runs. Myers, Reiss and Trey Hanken all pitched.

In Game 2, Seaman scored three runs in each of the first two innings to spark an 8-4 victory.

The Bullpups were much better at the plate in this game with eight hits. Reiss and Hoover both had two, and they had a double apiece.

Chandler Wiard, Honestee Whittker and Hoover took turns on the mound.

McPherson is 16-6.
