CHESTERTON, Ind. — Central Christian College’s Collin Duckworth recently earned AII Conference honors during the golf championship tournament.

Duckworth shot rounds of 74-77-73 for a 224 total, which gave him eighth place. It was his seventh straight Top 10 performance of the season as the freshman was remarkably consistent.

Duckworth was the only American-born player to make the All-Conference team as all the other selections were international players.

Also for CCC, other finishers were Lowell Stephens (20th, 78-82-84-244), JP Ray (22nd, 88-83-78-249), Josh Paine (30th, 93-82-91-266) and Matt Hargett (31st, 100-93-94-287).

The Tigers graduate only Hargett off this year’s team and coach Kyle Moody already has signed several players for next year.

Alexis Briner had a nice tourney for the Lady Tigers as she was 12th with 95-84-179 as the women played 36 holes. Other finishers for CCC were Savannah Horn (16th, 105-97-202) and Mackenzie Gates (103-108-211).
