LYONS — Smoky Valley’s baseball team wrapped up the regular season on Tuesday with a split against Lyons.

The Vikings struggled offensively in the first game as they were limited to four hits in a 5-0 loss. All the hits were singles by four separate players.

Ryan Weldy pitched well, as a three-run third inning was his only struggle.

The Vikings charged back to win Game 2, 8-6. Down 3-2 in the fourth, they came alive for five runs to key the victory.

Kyle Anderson was 2 for 3 with a double. Dahlton Cline added a double.

Dylan Goodell was the winning pitcher. The Lions scored in only two innings as they had a pair of three-run frames.

The Vikings are now 5-13 and will be involved in regional play on Tuesday. Pairings have yet to be announced.
