Which school has the best overall athletic program in the KCAC?

That would be Friends University.

That was determined on Wednesday when the KCAC announced that Friends had won the 2015-16 Commissioner’s Cup.

Final standings in 17 sports are used to determine the winner.

Points are assigned based on regular-season finish for football, men's and women's soccer, volleyball, men's and women's basketball, baseball, men's and women's golf, softball, and men's and women's tennis. In cross country, indoor track & field, and outdoor track & field the conference championship meet results will determine point values. To be a conference sport there must be six member institutions competing in that sport at the varsity level.

Friends wound up with 139 1/2 points, while there was quite a scramble for second. Southwestern emerged with 115 points, one more than Ottawa, while Tabor had 110 and Kansas Wesleyan had 104.

McPherson College was sixth with 99 1/2.

The remainder of the order included Saint Mary (97), Oklahoma Wesleyan (91 1/2), Bethany College (91), Sterling (81 1/2), York College (45 1/2) and Bethel (38).
