GALVA — Remington’s baseball team had its hitting shoes on.

The Broncos piled up more than 20 runs in both games on Thursday against Canton-Galva to sweep the twinbill.

In Game 1, a 10-run fifth inning broke it open in a 26-6 Remington victory. Jordan Gagnebin had two RBIs for the Eagles and Travis Unruh tallied two runs.

Another 10-run inning played a big role in Remington’s 22-9 success in Game 2. The loss spoiled a nice game by Reed Wiens, who had three hits and three RBIs. Hunter Pearson drove in two runs, Devyn Elkins scored three, and Unruh and Ethan Loyd scored two.

C-G plays in regional action on Monday in Salina against Sacred Heart.
